Rustic Wood Slice Ornaments
by

I wanted to create some rustic ornaments to fit in with our rustic-modern living room style. Our Christmas tree is full of red, white, silver, and gold, so I wanted to incorporate some of these colors while adding a natural touch. I chose to make some DIY wood burned wood slice ornaments with red ribbons and a touch of shimmer!

Find or purchase wood slices small enough for ornaments. I purchased mine at a craft store.
Hand screw eye hooks into the wood slice. (I also added shimmer at this step which is difficult to see in photos. See my blog for details)
Create your design or text on the computer and print it out. Transfer the design to the wood. (Visit my blog for detailed instructions on how to transfer the text!)
Use a wood burner to trace the transferred design.
Add a ribbon to hang the ornaments!
