    The heat system in the house should dry it relatively quickly. The issue to me would be living with the smell of the paint. Latex isn't as potent to live with while drying. Unless you can put it in a separate room. Find a paint that has a low VOC.

    I paint everything right now in my house. I thrown down boxes cut flat. And dip the furniture on it.

    Use acrylic paint and that will dry really fast . If you want the paint to last use a clear coat over your work . I painted everything inside for years . I love , love acrylics . No smell and fast dry : }
