Vintage Inspired French Grain Sack Stockings

Each year we host a Christmas party and each year I make gifts for a Left-Right Christmas game. One year I made bath salts and soap and another year I made granola and hot chocolate mix. This year I made Christmas stockings from vintage inspired French grain sack fabric.
Each stocking is different. I initially only wanted to use the red, but I am glad now that I used the blue striped fabric as well!
I trimmed the top of each stocking with bits of lace I found at an Estate sale. The dear lady lived to be 100! She had obviously been a seamstress, there were a lot of vintage wooded spools, patterns, fabric and such. I could tell she'd saved these bits from previous items.
The vintage inspired French grain sack fabric worked beautifully with a pattern from McCall that I found - intended for fat quarters or quilting fabric.
If you're looking for an easy Christmas decor craft or gift idea - try making your own vintage inspired French grain sack stockings - you and your friends will love them! (I share my source for the fabric in the post)
