Make Large Christmas Ornaments From Old Sweaters & Dollar Store Balls

All you need to create oversized sweater ornaments are large bounce balls and an old sweater. Of course, you can use Styrofoam balls. but at about $17-$19 for each 8" - 10" ball it was going to run me about $75 for 4 ornaments. Since I had the large bounce balls on hand from another project, I decided to use the bounce balls.
An old sweater is the perfect item to craft these knit sweater ornaments. If you don’t have one, the thrift store has oodles of them!
Dollar stores or grocery stores sell the bounce balls. You can purchase the balls at the store during the summer and early fall months. Maybe you’ll get lucky and see them in the winter months.
Hot glue is a very easy way to make these sweater ornaments. See my tip on the blog to prevent getting hot glue on the ball. The ball will pop. You could also sew the sweater to itself to make the seam nicer. However, when the ornament sits in the tree you can't see the seams. The cost of these depends on if you have an old sweater and the bounce balls. If you do have an old sweater, they end up being $1 each. If you need to purchase a sweater or use Styrofoam, it will be more expensive
