New Base for Rag Wreath

Adventures In Junking
by Adventures In Junking
I had been waiting to turn a damaged bed skirt into a rag wreath (and bunting...stay tuned) but I hadn't yet found or bought a wreath form I liked for this purpose. Some time ago I rescued a couple of lampshades from the side of a road.
I cut one of the shades into parts and it looked like the lower - and biggest - metal hoop would be a great wreath foundation
I stripped the hoop right down to just metal
I tore the bedskirt into strips (MANY!) of various widths and cut the strips into pieces of various lengths. These I tied one at a time to the wire hoop using the simplest knot.
Eventually I want to add a twig star to this, but in the meantime, I played with various ornaments and one of my tags.

I made one of these but used a coat hanger. Added some jingle bells to hang down in the middle. Worked perfectly!
