Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel

The homeowners of this Chester County home, designed by historic restoration architect John Milner, wanted to update their cramped kitchen to make it brighter and more functional, while ...»
staying true to the traditional farmhouse style of the house. To achieve this goal, Pine Street Carpenters designed a new kitchen incorporating custom bead-board cabinetry and solid maple countertops. To open up the kitchen and create more space, a custom hutch with period hardware was built-in along one wall of the kitchen and the exterior wall was pushed back. Centered in the kitchen is a custom bead-board multi-function island. The hand-selected cherry wood top works for prep cooking and dining, and the bead board base is loaded with storage. Environmentally-friendly cork flooring was used throughout the kitchen, and custom mahogany doors connect the kitchen to the outdoors, leading to a hardscaped patio.

  • After attempting to clean with Comet and Liquid toilet bowl cleaner I still had this nasty hard water build up scuzzy ring. 10
  • This is the AFTER picture :) 1
  • The lemon Koolaid works in the dishwasher too for removing the soap scum build up from the insides. Just put in in place of the soap and run an empty washer on it's regular cycle... The before and after will amaze you!
  • I know this looks nasty, but remember it's just Koolaid :) 1

Use a Pumice stone. Takes the ring right off in seconds. It feels very hard and you might ...»
think it would scratch but it doesn't. They can be purchased at Wal-Mart or like store in the cleaning department. It is safe for all porcelain and no chemicals.

Tools: What is it???

I found this in an old garage and was hoping someone could tell me exactly what it is. Three sharp blades and a foot step on the back. Looks like a spade of some kind.
