Mason Jar Elf Cottages: Home for the Holidays

Keep the wee folk warm and toasty this season with easy DIY cottages fashioned from recycled sauce or mason jars, party hats and basic craft supplies including glass friendly paint. Pop in flameless votives for a warm glow.
different sized jars add variety- the large one became Elf Inn
I gathered some jars I had on hand- (preferably with smooth sides)-and rinsed clean so the paint would adhere well. For the smaller Ball jar I simply turned the logo toward the back so it wouldn't be visible.
Glass friendly paint sprinkled with glitter provides a frosty finish. Make sure to paint around windows to let light shine through.
add some moss for a woodland feel and display with forest friends and faux trees
party hats or folded faux wood contact paper create the roof - drizzles of white paint add a snowy touch
pop in flameless votives for a cozy glow
