Ammonia stain on butcher block counter top

Does anyone have any ideas on how you might get a stain caused by pure ammonia out of a butcher block counter top? It's a stain about the the size of a dinner plate. I have a feeling it might be permanent.

Try sanding the block back and then if the stain goes just oil it with some butchers block food safe mineral oil after to bring the surface back. Howards and Home Depot do this oil.

ditto to above reply from Carole; and in the future; get rid of that Ammonia & bleach while you're at it...no need to use these toxins where they are other great safe alternatives out there

Vinegar, a little water, and last, but not least, baking soda. Careful to add in deep container because the baking soda fizzes up, but this combo cleans most anything, even clogged drains with the addition of boiling water and a good plunger.
