An Anthropologie Inspired DIY

Last month my daughter and her friends asked me if I would take them Black Friday shopping. As much as I love to shop, Black Friday just isn't my thing. I was in a good mood that day—or maybe I was just distracted— but either way I agreed to do it.
Although I approached the outing with a sense of dread, I had the good sense to make Anhropologie my first stop. (Who doesn't love Anthropologie?) Imagine my delight when I encountered their holiday displays filled with, you might have guessed from the picture above, gold painted walnuts!
You can bet a $50 measuring cup that I hightailed it home and made some of my own.

Some will be displayed in bowls around the house.
Others have been glued to mason jar lids.
Isn't this a cute way to present a "gift in a jar"?
I'm also going to glue some on to clothespins to make gift toppers. (Perhaps I'll add those photos later.)
Enjoyed the project?

Gail Salminen on Dec 05, 2014@'a casarella looks like a great project - I think I have an idea on how to use these sprayed nuts as well on the Christmas table. Thanks for sharing.
