Repurposed Furniture: Kitchen Upper Cabinet to Stylish Storage Cabinet

Turn an old upper kitchen cabinet into a freestanding storage cabinet for under $50!
See the full tutorial on my blog post: http://sandpaperandglue.com/2014/12/08/upcycled-kitchen-cabinet/
The after-- I added 1x2 mitered sides to build out the cabinet, legs to the bottom, then paint and wax. See the full blog post for details!
The before--- not looking so great, but sturdy and well built underneath it all.

That is an ingenious way to repurpose an old cabinet to a modern piece of furniture for anywhere around the house. If put sideways and have the footing removed would also be a great idea to transform into a stool with storage space underneath.

Legs and 2 colors of paint really turn it into a whole new look. Love the kitty cat, too!
