Beautiful Book Page Wreath

30 Minutes
Easy
Here is a brief tutorial on how you can make your very own book page wreath in about 30 minutes. If you have an old book lying around and a piece of cardboard, this project can cost you pennies and look beautiful all year round!
First you need to take the pages from your book. Simply cut the binding threads little by little and remove the pages from the book. Your pages will be folded on one side so just trim the edge to give you free pages.
Then you need to make approximately 75 cones from your book pages. Secure the ends with tape.
Using some cardboard- mine is a pizza box lid- trace 1 larger plate and a smaller plate in the middle as a guide for your cones. Then begin to hot glue them about an inch below the line. I like to split my circles like a clock and do a quarter at a time. Once you see how much cardboard you will need for stability- cut the excess off before you have too many cones attached.
Continue adding cones to your second ring and then the space in the center. The center cones will need to be more upright, so pinch the bottoms slightly to create a cup before gluing down.
Please see my blog post for more details and a video on a simple way to roll 75 cones!
