What Do You Do With a Tub Full of Wiring Connectors?

Why, make something of course!!! Using some reclaimed wood, I used the connectors as "hooks" for a vintage inspired coat rack.
Knob & tube wiring connectors are made of porcelain. When the dirt and grime was washed off, they actually looked nice.
Had some wood laying around from a vintage chicken feeder. The bottoms had rotted out, so I was left with the sides. A good scrubbing with a wire brush and a coat of MMS hemp oil brought it back to life.
The knobs are made with a hole in the centre so that they can be screwed into the framing during construction. Perfect! No drilling required!
Lined up along the vintage piece, the insulators are sturdy enough to hold a heavy winter coat.
But we added some Christmas cheer with these DIY wooden ornaments and placd it under the tree in the kitchen.
