Make Your Own German Glass Glitter...DIY

Repurpose Broken Ornaments into Beauty
If you collect vintage Christmas ornaments as I have for years, then it's likely that you've had a few OOOPS moments and had a few crash to the floor and smash into bits...
You can use the broken ornaments to make your own glitter. I have a collection of old German ornaments here that are broken and deserved to be repurposed...
You can make the "glitter" as fine as you wish by using a rolling pin. There is a lot more about this technique on my blog, including how to be safe when working with glass...
The glitter can be added to ornaments when finished, as well as pinecones and wreaths. Shiny and beautiful and a great repurposing project! More on the blog at shabbyfufu

Janet Coon-Shabbyfufu, i LOVE this !!! They're so beautiful. My favorite glitter is German Glass Glitter, there is nothing like it, it catches every bit of light there possibly is and sparkles like diamonds, just like your ornaments.) I buy mine from 32° North. If you have a good source for German Glass Glitter, would you mind sharing ? I love 32°North but they are a bit pricey. Thanks so muchfor sharing your project.
