Holiday Home Tour

hi and Welcome to our 1922 Cottage. I'm excited to share our home all dressed up for the holidays.
Each year it's fun to use my favorite Christmas decor and come up with some new things to add (always on a budget) and make it look fresh and new.
I love and have collected red and white Christmas ornaments that include Santas, candy canes, peppermints, snowflakes and a lot more and just love them. This year we bought a new faux tree and got it at Michaels on Black Friday and save $130.
Our kitties LOVE to sleep under and get cozy and here you see Oreo relaxing. He's really good and doesn't touch anything under there.
His sister Chloe is another story and here she is snuggled next to him on the chair caught mid yawn...lol.
A great tip is to look for ornaments after Christmas when they are 50%-75% off and save them for the next year and many to come.
I took some pictures both in the day and in the evening because I think it's so much prettier when the lights and candles are twinkling.
I shared our Snowy Christmas Mantel (on a post here) and I made the chalkboard frame with Dollar Store foam board and white craft paint, and hung the 3 Dollar Store Snowflakes along with a mason jar and tea light, greens from our tree outside is the garland, made the snowballs and the Candle holders are the "Bamboo Coastal Candleholders" (there's a post on here too) that I made in the summer with Dollar Store Vases and glued reed on to them for a neutral rustic look. I enjoy this every night!
Our living room leads into our Dining Room which is nice and here you can see our dog Coco relaxing.
We are a family of four and I like to set our table fun and festive.
During the day I do a lot of my work at the dining room table so you can see my view of the smaller tree and our mantel from right here.
It's so pretty at night too.
I have been wanting a neutral Christmas Tree and I found this small one for $9.95 at a thrift store so it was a great way to get started. I made the Glittery Bird House ornaments (there is a post here) and the Burlap Poinsettia Flowers (post here too) and found some glittery reindeer and Joy ornaments at the Dollar Tree. You don't have to spend a lot to have a beautiful tree. A little imagination and glitter goes along way...lol.
Every night I try to come in here and sit and watch tv or listen to Christmas music with the fire. It's my Happy Place for sure.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!!!

Please come over to my blog for the full post. I only included half the pictures so there is a lot more to see.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day, Lisa
