Extremely annoying heating pump!

Well, one things for sure, its not going any where. Its there, high up under the wall, making one of the corners in my dining room impossible to decorate. And it has come to the point were it actually keeps me up at night. Yes, I am that annoyed...
But its there, in all its glory, and what ever I put in this corner, it is almost shadow casted by this dreadful thingy.
Does anyone else have this problem? And have you solved it? I would love to put something up on the walls, but I don't know...

Maybe try some drywall or some kind of material like that to muffle the sound, or try asking at Ace Hardware...their great at this stuff....
