Marcelle Chambers on Dec 18, 2014You could also incorporate items such as Gramma's hand embroidered hanky, vintage crochet, dried favorite flowers. Or, shadow box under glass, and use and side tables.Helpful Reply

Anne Charriere on Dec 19, 2014I would definitely paint, distress/age and hang them on the wall. You could use them as deco item and/or create a wall coat.Helpful Reply

Pam on Dec 19, 2014I would put chalk paint either on the inside and still use the out side for decorating, or chalk paint on outside and make it message center, with pictures on one side, they look like they have gotten you and family through a lot so give it a new life and new purpose.Helpful Reply

Country Design Home on Dec 19, 2014What I typically do with old door panels is to make them into chalkboards by removing the hinges and painting with chalkboard paint. Then frame them out with some barn board or other rustic wood. Leave the handle and then hang a piece of chalk from it with some jute rope. Or, with two small bookcases, you could make them into table tops for matching end tables.Helpful Reply

Raelene on Dec 19, 2014If you have ever had to create a hole in a wall to access plumbing valves, create a frame around the hole and paint it, then attach your cabinet door. Now you have a nice looking access panel.Helpful Reply

Linda J on Dec 19, 2014How about minimal resurfacing, maybe sand and stain so you see the original wood and install handles on each side (drawer pulls) and use for trays. Trays have a multitude of uses.Helpful Reply

Elizabeth A on Dec 19, 2014Love the tray idea. Give as a gift to family members. I have pieces of wood that were a bench my granddaddy made and I use it on my gallery wall with the family name on it.Helpful Reply

Orchidmg on Dec 19, 2014paint with chalkboard paint and use as a family message board or for children's play room. Or if you need something to hang some tool, drill holes and screw in hooks and hang tools that you use often instead of having them in a toolbox for the garage or basement & hang them on a wall.Helpful Reply

Diamond Chamberlin on Dec 20, 2014I needed some seedling tables a couple years ago and just happened to have several cabinet doors almost identical to these. I stood cinderblocks on end and lay the doors down on top. I then covered the doors with a good sheet of plastic to minimize any water damage and protect them just in case I decided to use them for their original purpose later on.Helpful Reply

Kirsten Veneziano on Dec 21, 2014Paint a chalkboard rectangle about 1.5" in from all sides, hang horizontal with hinges on top so you can hang an eraser from the handle with some hemp twine.Helpful Reply

Donna Strader on Dec 21, 2014A great idea if you want a keepsake? You could make a Keepsake box out of one or more of the doors. Your choice of a small or larger box, whatever needs you have. It might make a nice Jewelry type box, or hold love letters, or even be used as a box to keep other keepsake safe. The choices are endless, good luck with your treasures!Helpful Reply

Carole on Dec 21, 2014Use one door as a table top for a sewing machine metal frame/legs. Leave the timber and handle as it is. Use as a hall table. For the other one, perhaps make a string and nail art piece or add a mirror to the door - use a very strong glue to stick the mirror to the wood and use a mirror smaller than the door itself so that the door area that shows around the mirrors edge forms a frame for the mirror. Hang this over the table in the hall. This keeps the items together to compliment each other. I would leave the hinges and handle on as it keeps the items in as near original condition. If you wanted to paint, you could try a light wash rather than a full on paint job.Helpful Reply
