Found a pair of parlor chairs at my favorite local thrift shop. The upholstery was pretty gross and falling apart in some places...but the frames and foundation were PERFECT.
I really loved the original castors and the authentically aged patina of the wooden frames, but the faded velvet and diamond tufts weren't working. I tore off the old fabric, cut the tufted buttons loose, and threw out all of the old batting.
(I kept a couple of buttons for old times sake). Some black, white, natural, and grey pattern fabric created a patchwork which I quilted on to cotton batting and voila!
Enjoyed the project?
