What is the best way to center a stripe on round drop leaf table

I have a round drop leaf table and would like to add 3 accent stripes to the center. I can't seem to get a straight line. I thank you all in advance!

I would make a paper pattern of the exact size of the top of your table, then cut down to trace around the pattern to make the circles that you want to paint.

That's a really good idea, and I;m sure I will use it on future projects. On this table I want to put vertical stripes across the table, but can't seem to apply the tape straight. I don't want to use a pencil line, as the colors are on the light side. Thought about a chalk lign.
