Hanging a pot rack

I have a small pot rack that needs to be hung in studs in my ceiling but I want it to be over my small rolling island. How do I do it without making lots of holes in the ceiling?

Invest in a tool called "Stud-Finder" . Normally found at Home Depot or other type stores. This instrument when passed along the surface of walls or in your case the ceiling will emit a noise when you are near a stud because of the nails holding the drywall to them. I use a stud finder to hang my heavier pictures on the walls without damaging the rest of the wall. Good luck Jan Baker in California. That's what I would do first.

Hang them on wall. Much safer.

Stud finder. Most hardware stores have them. Get a really thin drill bit to make the exploratory holes. ....easier to hide. You might be lucky and find the studs. Use four hanging chains for the pot holding tray. 2 is not enough. Trial and error will get the tray level.

Stud finders are great. But if you have a old home you may find its a little off. I had the same problem
