Solar light care
Should they be taken in over winter? Is there a way to turn them off, or just put them in a box and let them go dead? Will they "come back" when they are once again put in the sunlight?

Sonia on Dec 29, 2014I bring mine in over winter and all of mine have an on/off cheap ones from Giant Tiger/Buck Store. I remove the batteries as well if being stored in an outside shed we have cold winters here. Come spring they will come back once in sunlight....mine have lasted for at least 3 years some longer.Helpful Reply

Joyce Howe on Dec 29, 2014Thanks Sonia...I will bring them in and remove the batteries.....mine don't have on/off switches....they were really cheap, but I have a lot of them and don't want to have to replace them. Our winters are milder than yours, but definitely winter weather and lots of snow at times.Helpful Reply

UteK on Nov 01, 2015I lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin and found that you can leave them out over the winter, as long as they are in a sunny spot. Looks really neat at night with the snow around or even on top of them.Helpful Reply
