Restoration Hardware Inspired Vintage Book Bundle

When I saw the Grand Tomes set at Restoration Hardware, I fell in love. They are intended to be copies of the books produced in France in the late 1700s. Only one problem for me...they cost $195! Whaaaat? So I decided to create my own version...and I did...for only $6.00!

And...taaa daaa!...here they are! You can dab the edges of the pages with a warm damp tea bag to loosen them up and darken them if you like. Tie the books together with jute twine for an added vintage look. I love how they turned out...and $6.00 beats $195 any day in my book!

Can you believe it? You have to be just looking at them and saying "who would pay "$195, when this is so easy and fun?". I love it, It makes me feel so accomplished, and to know I saved $195, is just the icing on the cake! Great job! Love it!

You really knocked this project out of the ballpark!!! I am so doing this! Especially when I know how to make my own gesso as a result of taking the Farragoz class. Thank you so much for sharing even the graphic sources that you used!

Great job Debbie! I am always amazed when I see these big companies selling old book bundles at a ridiculous price when there are thrift stores FULL of vintage books with a great patina. I use them in my decorating all the time. :)

I used your tutorial awhile back and mine turned out great, too. Thanks so much. Love them
