$25 Desk to Craft Station
I created my new craft table from an ugly desk my mom gave me.
The finished product. It will look great in my living room!
Trashed desk. The tan spots are wood filler.
My $2 clearance inspiration for the desk!
First I painted the desk black. Then I painted a white square in the center.
Attach material with push pins and paint the material on using polyurethane.
Make sure all paint is dry before you add the polyurethane and material.
That white spot looks sweet right?
Once all your material is added, and the first layer of polyurethane is dried, trim excess material. Add additional 3-4 layers of polyurethane and let dry. Embellish any borders you want and you are done.

@Elisa I am not sure i am getting this can you explain why you painted the center top white and then covered it with fabric, the pics are small and i cant tell if it was for a particular purpose many thanks felicity
