Made this over the summer, and I plan on doing more this coming summer! It is approximately, 6.5ft wide, 8ft long, and 6 ft tall.
The base was first layered with 1x2's and another layer of 1x4's were added. The base is made of the 2x4's from the bottom of pallets (a forklift would be able to pick this up easily as it is VERY heavy).
We framed out the main building and used 1x4's to cover the outside. ALOT of sanding! I definitely recommend a planer!
Next the fence was created with the use of 1x2's as the slats and 1x4's for the tops and bottoms. The posts that you see are actually made from 4, 1x4's. the 1x4's were cut to fit the different sizes needed. (front 1x4 is longer than the back and sides). the toppers on the posts are decorative toppers from Lowe's.
The doors and windows are made from hard wood from the pallets the door has 3 layers of wood the windows have 2. I added decorative hinges and door handle. There's also a handle on the inside of the door. Latches are on the inside of the windows to lock them, and a small knob is also on the window for easily pulling the windows back in. There is also a gate on the fence with a latch.
This is made of all pallet wood. Particularly pine. We treated it with high quality stain and sealant from Lowes. We also decided to roof it and it is leak free and very sturdy!
The fencing is angled the slats face inward giving it a different look.
Added the wreath for Christmas spirit
We have since put a knob on the inside of the window for easy closing. All inside has also been stained.
