DIY idea for protective covering on bottom of couch?

Does anyone have any ideas for DIY protective covering for the bottom of the couch for accidents from dogs? I have used clear peel and stick shelf liner around the bottom of my couch. But the last few times I purchased it it doesn't stick as well as it used to. Does anyone have any other DIY ideas? Thanks you!

You could wrap a piece of either vinyl or oilcloth which would repel the urine.I think you need to deal with the dog too and find out from The dog whisperer how to deal with problem.
