My beige kitchen tile edging is water damaged and needs to be replaced. Does anyone have ideas to replace edging/ banding to give updated look?

remove old pieces and clean them - taking off old grout and cement. Clean off the counter top edges of old grout and cement. Re-apply with fresh adhesive cement and re-grout, try to match the original grout.

I would buy those long skinny decorative tiles that come in a sheet. Glue them to the edge and then grout.

We put marble on island. Couldn't find edge we liked. Measured width of edge, went to Lowes and found some really pretty wood trim. None were the right width, so we bought a real pretty one that has carved ivy and a narrower one that is carved with some carved detail. We glued the smaller one at the top edge and the ivy below, clamped for 24 hours and then stained to match the cabinet. Everyone raves about it and we love it.
