Basic Entry Closet Gets a Repurposed Redo...

What started out as a messy little closet has evolved into an area that I can be proud to welcome my guests in to for a visit. Come peek around...
Before...basic bi-fold doors hide random clutter.
During...we removed the doors and wire pantry shelving. And filled LOTS of holes! Then, my husband removed the door track hardware and framed the opening in to give it a more finished look.
After...I think this really opened up our tiny entry space.
I have had this idea in my head for a while now. It finally came to be when I found the perfect vintage lockers at Antiques Downtown in Elk River, MN.
They didn't have their original number tags, so I just added adhesive tags that I had on hand. Home Sweet Home.
The perfect spot to stash cleaning supplies...and more.
And another fun place to "vignette".
A cool old "DIY" sign from a local junk show and a bunch of matching hooks make a nice "coat room" like spot to hang your hat, coat...or whatever.
A couple of black stools stacked for shoe storage.
And I couldn't resist this wet boot resistant welcome mat from Target. You have arrived :)
