Coffee table with ceramic inlay

The movers were not gentle with a coffee table my late mother bought at sale. It has ceramic tile inlay and framed with the wood and same for legs which movers broke off. This is handcrafted, heavy wood. Want to eventually fix if can. Good solid wood, no nails or screws it was put together like dovetailing. Could be moving again so should I wait? Should I see if Amish/Hutterite can fix it? I will check for photos if cannot find now.
The coffee table that has books on it. Ceramic inlay. That is best I can do. Table was fine here and was breaking and broken by present address.

For the sentiment alone I would try to get it fixed. An Amish craftsmen would be a great choice to do the work.

Could you do a mosaic in the place that was left behind?

The legs are good expensive wood and so is frame around the ceramic. It was sturdy till bad movers got at it. treated it like something for the fire. That is not how you treat hand made furniture. Like many things they damaged they would not cover cost to repair or replace.

Hope the Mover's reimbursed you for breaking your table. The ceramic can be replaced, You could have just about anything cut to size and slipped in place. the geg can be fixed also. may need to have a long pin drilled and placed in leg for support.and then glued. Good luck.

@Judith Iverson No they did not anrefused to replace or get anything repaired they broke , damaged. This was like dovetailing, no nails or screws used. Movers thought it was a folding table and broke all 4 legs and part of frame around pottery tiles, not tiles you put as backsplash.

Sometimes we love things so much we can't bare to ruin them in a move. I'd have it done and be sure movers paid for it.

It worked well with my furniture. 9 years passed and they have refused. Don't use Mayflower and mover named Rocky. Damaged many items that eventually headed to dump of my dear mother's. Some I could have used in present house. Charged too much also and was going to hold my items, ransom. get this they were going to move my parrots in cages in truck and dogs too and stuffed in storage locker till I arrived to empty lockers. Too far!

Thank you for the suggestions but this doesn't answer my question because The table is hand made not in factory,in home garage. Some of you might know what dovetailing is in carpentry, and the use of no nails, screws, just fit together with carpenter's glue and fitting joints together. This is good wood mahogany.
