Linda on Jan 19, 2015You need to be careful using some of them. I used Miracle on my tile floor and it lightened the grout. Be sure and test a spot that may not be seen much and try it there first. I'm still trying to find something that won't hurt my grout!Helpful Reply

Carole on Jan 19, 2015Try Urine Free. It is an all in one spray and safe to use on timber. Although try a spot test in an area that is not too noticeable first. It is an odour and stain remover. www.urinefree.com.au This is an Australian site.Helpful Reply

Capernius on May 03, 2015The first thing one needs to understand is that when an animal "marks" his/her territory, eventually it gives off an odor of ammonia. So, if you can neutralize that ammonia smell, you will have solved the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Homemade Cleaner If you prefer not to use chemical-based cleaners in your home, or if you want to tackle the stain quickly and don't have an enzyme cleaner on hand, you can whip up a homemade cleaner using a few ingredients you already have around the house. Simply combine 1 cup of water with 1/3 cup each of vinegar, baking soda and dish soap. Combine the ingredients in an empty squirt bottle and shake it vigorously just before using. After you blot the stain, apply a small amount of the cleaner and scrub at it with a sponge. Homemade cleaners like this are usually more effective on carpet than hardwood, but if you tackle the stain early enough you may help prevent odor from seeping into the wood. by Katherine Barrington http://pets.thenest.com/smell-dog-urine-out-wood-3568.htmlHelpful Reply
