Vintage Server

I came across this small vintage server on my local classifieds page. It had been refinished once and was looking a little dreary to me. Some paint, paper, and new hardware gave it a whole new look.

Love it so much more now!

I painted in Linen (with a little bit of white mixed in) from General Finishes and used a piece of scrapbook paper and Modge Podge on the drawer front. I also replaced the knob with a rustic pull.

I sanded the top down with 150 grit, gave it two coats of Java Gel from General Finishes, and 3 coats of Varathane in satin.

I love it!!... coincidentally enough, I found an old server at my local thrift shop today, I bought it so I'll be doing something like this..or at least I'm gonna try!! :0)
