Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jan 21, 2015I am afraid to tell you, if your stuck on this type of project, you should not be doing it. While its a pretty simple deal to do, it does take some experience with wires and an understanding of the electrical codes. There are many ways to achieve this project. But it depends upon how the wires were run to the one in the center. If the wire comes from below such as a basement, or above from an attic its simply the matter of pulling the wire down or up where a box is installed then two wires are brought to the locations of the new fixtures. What cannot be done is a splice within the wall or if you wish to cover over the center box to hide it if you decide to run the wires to each side of the current fixture. While this is an option, you will be stuck looking at the cover plate as it cannot be sealed into the wall cavity due to codes and safety. A good electrical contractor will or should only charge around $150 to do this plus materials, This is the way you should proceed.Helpful Reply
