This desk is well built with a drawer in front and 3 open shelves on the side. Any ideas on how to improve it

@Gillian I think it depends on where you intend to use this piece. In a child's room it would be fun to paint it in a colour theme to match child's likes - would also depend on the child's age. If using in a den or kitchen a shabby chic look might be nice, depending on your decor. Could also go for a modern sleek look as well. I would look to see how dressers and bookcases are done on this sight and view it with the desk in mind. Looks like a nice cold weather project LOL a little too cold out here to go outside. Thanks for posting.
