Have you ever wondered what you can do with an old set of interior shutters? Well I did and was excited to find a great place to display my greeting cards. I love getting cards from friends and family for special events but hated that I didn't really have anywhere to display them. By taking an old pair of shutters, gluing the slats in place, and adding some paint I was able to create a quick easy solution. Kids love this the best, being able to see all of their cards displayed. Best part is you can also use this as a way to display your favorite photos!
he completed shutters. Use clothes pins to help hold the cards in place
The shutters before paint. Use wood glue to help keep your slats in place so that they don't flop around when you try to clip cards to them. A quick sanding and your shutters are ready for paint.
After the paint is done use a sanding block to do some light sanding and finish with a coat of polycrylic.
