What portions of vinegar and baking soda do you use?
I agree with the vinegar and baking soda. Make a paste similar to peanut butter. Cover the stains a let it sit for at about half an hour. Scrub and rinse. For tough stains use hydrogen peroxide instead of baking soda. Do not use any abrasive cleaners as they will scratch the stainless steel. In the future for minor clogs. Pour half a box of baking soda down the drain. Pour vinegar down, immediately cover the drain with a cloth and press down. The foaming of the baking soda should push the clog through. For a double sink cover both drains with cloths.
