Shelby @ The Weathered Barn Studio on Jan 27, 2015...I might have a concoction that you could try....It;'s a mix of AS chalk paint as a base coat ,with Old English furniture Scratch Cover ( the dark one ) , with about 8 to 9 drops of it added to a water base tintable ( such as Minwax). Choose the base color of the paint you wish to have, if you dont want to use AS , you could basically use most any flat or satin paint in a color that is a grey/ dark gray/ , along those lines. Let your base coat dry and then spread the other concoction over that, and leave on about 1- 2 minutes, then wipe off, leaving some of this mixture behind and blend it. You can use this multiple times for depth, I have also used the Old English to darken finishes and create depth. Hope this helps you in some way. I am always experimenting with paint finishes and products.Helpful Reply

Shelby @ The Weathered Barn Studio on Jan 28, 2015@ Debra : i will e mail you either this evening or tomorrow with the details, its really rather simple. You can add the wax afterwards, if desired. :) I experiment with things, as I stated...and was using ' dry brush ' techniques since....1989.lol.Helpful Reply
