The cost of having a 10x12 room sheetrocked

Marion Nesbitt on Jan 28, 2015How bad is it? Drywallers who know their stuff can skim coat damaged walls so that they look like new. You cut down the dust by about 70% or more! If you decide to replace - get some good masks, goggles, and a shop vac with bags for fine dust, then seal off the area, and do the demolition yourself - will save a ton of money in labour and cartage. Have a 100+ yr old home and have had several plaster walls skim coated. They look like new drywall has been installed. Are you thinking of doing rewiring at the same time? A really good electrician can fish new line without doing damage. Am really lucky to have one - always amazed me.Helpful Reply
