Tile is great fun. Leftover tiles, pieces of old plates broken with a hammer make wonderful trays and adhere beautifully to a quality clay pot. Trays can be found at flea markets and spray painted then tiled. Same with pots. I have done many of each. Imagination, tile cement and grout are all you need. Do you know a contractor who would save his leftovers for you? Or get little tiles at flea markets. Oh, have fun!

Hi Kj! Are you looking to repurpose tiles or update tiles that are already installed? Please give us some more information so we can get you even more great ideas like the ones @Dianne c. ehoe gave you.

I have quite a bit of tile that I "play with" from time to time. East coast climate makes this more difficult. When I lived in Arizona I tiled benches, clay pots, I did a mosaic on a concrete wall in the back yard. Cannot do any of that here because of the winters. I would put some pictures on to give ideas, but quite honestly, I have no idea how to do it.

You could do some of the same things, just use them inside. My MIL tiled a coffee table that was great to put her plants on.
