Stainless steel appliances - constant upkeep. I'm going back to white - at least it doesn't smear and need polishing to look good.

My chrome faucets seem to get water spots more than fingerprints. Dampen the end of a hand towel and wipe down, dry with other end...>5 seconds. My brushed stainless sink and faucet do not seem to have the fingerprint problem and clean up with most anything. Not sure why the large appliances aren't the same.

I'm sorry I sold my white appliance and got stainless appliances. Even though the SS makes the kitchen appear more updated, I think nicer, newer white appliances are much easier to take care. Never again will I buy SS appliances, as these go I will replace with white, not black, not SS.

I always have smudges, and I can't keep the ss sinks or faucets either drip free or fingerprint free! I'm going back to a porcelain sink and white faucet.

Dictates of design. I wish I had gone with my gut and not the realtor or magazines. Love white. Always have.
