After the holidays, I wanted to create a way to repurpose my birch branches. So, I came up with an inexpensive and fun solution, using a simple lantern from the dollar store.
I started with a 6 foot long birch branch, that was originally part of one of my outdoor Christmas arrangements, and I cut it into three 2 foot lengths using a mitre saw.
I secured them into a tripod shape at the top, using some twine.
Then, I tied the lantern with twine, and hung it from the centre of the tripod.
Lastly, I added a simple white candle, and voila. Instant wow factor that can be used outside on a porch or front stoop, or indoors to bring a rustic wintery element to your space.
