How to build a Rustic Headboard using RECLAIMED WOOD--Video
This weeks woodworking project I show you how to build a Rustic Headboard using reclaimed wood such as old barn wood, driftwood, and pallets. I build the headboard to look like an old rustic distressed fence gate. I also demonstrate how to paint new hardware and give it an antique finish.

Thank you! Yeah, I wasn't sure how the hardware was going to turn out having never tried to age metal before but everything went just how I pictured it in my head.

We did this about 5 years ago with some leftover fencing.I love it in my bedroom. I have a flowery room with lots of ruffles, flowers in the draperies and such. the headboard blends right in for a nice comfy country feel.
