{Salvaged House Number} Shadow Box Art

While at the Haven Conference two years back, I found this beautiful, gold house number that Southern Accents had salvaged from an old home that was being demolished. I immediately snagged it up and it's been kept safely in a drawer these last few years, just waiting to be used for something. Yesterday, I finally found a home for my lucky number five! I absolutely love how this shadow box art turned out. And the best part is, it took me less than an hour to create! :)
The supplies I started off with included a shadow box Ribba frame from IKEA, two pieces of coordinating fabric that I had on hand and the house number. Other items I ended up using were tape, hot glue, scissors, embroidery thread and an embroidery needle.
After a bit of trial and error, the final project was absolutely lovely. I love projects that can be completed in under an hour while the little ones are napping!
Right now, it's sitting pretty on an end table in our living room. But, once my gallery wall is finished, it will have a place of honor there instead. :)
