Custom Blue Chest of Drawers (starry Night Blue) Makeover

I picked up this dresser from a Craigslist ad. I had never seen this style before with the little back on the top. It was pretty beat up and had been stripped and painted multiple times. I decided to paint it a custom blue that reminds me of Van Goghs Starry Night. Once it was painted I knew I couldn't sell it. ideas
This is why I couldn't let it go. I fell in love with it when it was finished.
When I picked up the dresser off of Craigslist it looked like this. It was pretty beat up and had some mildew and mold on the outside.
It also had some areas where the previous owners may have been over zealous with sanding over the years. When I opened up the dresser you could see the the dresser had been painted and stripped a couple of times.
The top had also been overly loved so it was time to work some magic. I mixed up a custom blue that I love. When I started painting it I instantly was reminded of VanGogh's starry night painting. I always loved his blues.
As I was trying to decide on hardware I decided that a nice crisp gold would accent the piece with the blue so I just grabbed my gold spray paint and painted them. When they were dry I popped them back on. As I said in the beginning, I knew I would not be able to let it go. It is now sitting in my sons room where I can go in and look at it. He was so excited to get a new dresser. Hopefully he will cherish it for years to come.

Well thats it for todays makeover. I have finished the bathroom remodel, but trying to photograph that space has become my nemesis. Such a small space to try to photograph. Hopefully I will get those done this week. Wish me luck. Until next time, go make someones day BEAUTIFUL!
