Glue Thrift Shop Frames Into a House Shape and You've Got a Terrarium!

Add spring to the inside with simple to make terrariums. Glue thrift shop frames into a house shape for creative terrariums. I'm not a great gardener so I added a collection of decor items to my frame terrariums. Anything looks better with a glass house around it...even a basic candle.
They make everything look special!
A stack of 5 by 7 thrift store frames.
Clamped frames into a square shape. I added nails but the glue is what really holds the frames together.
The hardest part is painting. The insides need painting too! I used chalky type paint. Spray paint would have been easier.
I added the glass back into the frames using clear silicone.
I hinged two frames together for the roof. I did add a piece of trim to hide the hinges.
This one was made using metal hinged frames.
Here's the white one complete.

Katherine on Feb 03, 2016That's a great idea! I've seen some of those gorgeous greenhouses made out of old windows and just loved them! This is like the play version! I LOVE it!!!
