Two Upcycled Projects From One Pig Mail Organizer

My Junkin' Friend Jodi gave this country pig mail organizer for free to makeover. Instead of just painting it up and distressing the piece as is, I took it all apart and made two different home decor items.
This is the pig mail organizer before the upcycle & repurpose!
The pigs were removed from the back on the first project, and the piece was painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and distressed.
I added a bulldog clip and a swirly wooden applique to create a unique photo holder.
A tulip napkin holder was sawed off to fit the pigs' size.
All three pieces were painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and distressed. I added an image transfer to the pigs' back with the Mod Podge Image Transfer Method, and then nailed the pigs to the tulip napkin holder.
And there you have them, TWO projects from one pig mail organizer! Complete instructions are on my blog for both projects!

Heidi on Feb 13, 2015I love how you did this. I would have passed that up, and thought no nothing I could do with it. You did something way cool.
