Yes, "clean-ability" is often overlooked. I have friends who installed ceramic monotone cream colored tile - you can see the tiniest spec of dust from across the room, it's terrible! The other big advantage of linoleum and similar materials is that it is easier on your feet. I love to cook but standing on tiles for 2 hours is hard on my feet. Hardwood is great, but it is so easy to accidentally leave water on the floor and have a permanent stain a few hours later...ouch!

2018 linoleum flooring is back in style ! Just had my entire house outfitted with wood style linoleum, water proof, easy to clean, love it !
