Looking for ideas on how to organize CDs

Rebecca L on Feb 15, 2015Dollar stores carry small lidded plastic containers. Organize the CD's into groups in the containers so they can be stacked and label the outside. It will make it easier to find the one you are looking for while utilizing the maximum shelf space.Helpful Reply

Kay on Feb 15, 2015I use the notebooks for cd's and a database program to keep track of which notebook they or in. Takes up very little space and you can keep the cases and inserts if you ever want to sell them. They store great on a bookcase and some hold over 200 cd's or dvd'sHelpful Reply

Tamara on Feb 16, 2015Either add shelves above them or purchase CD notebooks. I have used both and personally preferred adding shelving as opposed to removing the CD's from their cases and putting them in the notebooks. When I kept CD's on the shelf I had them organized by genre. In the CD notebooks they are organized alphabetically.Helpful Reply

Terrimb on Feb 17, 2015Cd binders work great. organize by genre/ alphabetize. Most allow you to keep the sleeve with the cd so you know where to put it back. I can't do this for dvd's - I tried, it drove me crazy, but for Cd's... I love it!!. I used the soft binders that close with a zipper. only put cd's and their sleeves on one side - even though it is made to hold them on both sides of the pocket insert. Don't forget to leave room for expansion though. good luck! Walmart and amazon carry these for about $10 each I believe.Helpful Reply
