Cathy Norton on Feb 16, 2015Thanks, I will buy a can of that at Lowe's. Is this something, we spray on and wipe off, so it remains in the crevices of the wood, etc. Do you think the color will provide enough contrast with my wall and floor colors? I certainly do appreciate your response, as we were getting nowhere.Helpful Reply

DebFaj on Feb 17, 2015Cathy, it is a wipe on/off product. You control how heavily you want the color, by how much you leave. We have used it on several pieces- some heavier glazed than others, and the results are excellent everytime. If you don't like the results at all, you simply paint over it. The glaze is water based, so clean up is a breeze. Experiment with the glaze on a piece of wood painted the color of your cabinets to decide if it will have the contrast you desire. Over the weekend I painted my bathroom vanity a dark steel gray, then lightly glazed it and it is stunning now!Helpful Reply

Cathy Norton on Mar 21, 2015When painting and putting glaze on a white painted cabinet, is there anyway to leave brush strokes in the glaze, too, as the cabinets will look better if there are brush strokes that make the wood appear to have natural grain. Thanks, CathyHelpful Reply

Tammie Housley on Aug 12, 2015You can purchase a clear glazing liquid where you add your choice of color as well as the amount. Most recommend 1/4 to 1/3 paint. I second the suggestion that you try it out on some scrap wood first. If you have a piece of decorative trim even better so you can see how it works on the flat and raised places. Buy several small bottles of craft paint to help you find the look you want. You can apply it with a rag, sponge or brush and can either leave it as is or wipe it off.Helpful Reply
