Porch Spindle Arrows

I needed some Valentine's items to sell at my shop and I was stumped and did not have a lot of time to come up with something complicated. I went to my basement to look around at my wood stash and see what I could come up with and my eyes rested on my huge bundle of spindles I had pilfered from the trash last year!
These would make perfect arrows! I simply used my miter saw to cut one end into a point and then just made shallow cuts into the other end at angles to make them look like feathers. Then I used my jigsaw to cut out the end triangle. Once sanded, I added some gold or champagne paint for some fancy details.
I love how these turned out!
