Bonita Sanders on Feb 19, 2015Wood trim can be added with Power Grab. Then a good coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint will add just the right touchHelpful Reply

Renee Seeling on Feb 19, 2015Chances are you can add framing to them but, it will require sanding and drilling. I would try first sanding the area you want to add the trim to on the metal sections. Then mark where you want them and drill holes through the metal to hold the trim in place. I would also add a strong glue that works on both metal and wood. Hence....the sanding part of the process. I did something like this many years ago with some wall hung metal cabinets I had in my 1950's kitchen. Worked out ok. It was a lot of work though because that metal was very thick.Helpful Reply

Joanne Scallion on Feb 19, 2015Oh my! I am such a fan of original that I would never drill holes in them. It would ruin the potential value. Maybe some type of glue to add the wooden strips. Spruce up with new paint and use accent stripes. But definitely DO NOT permanently change the cabinets.Helpful Reply

Donna Byram on Feb 19, 2015Instead of drilling, why not make your frames and use magnetic adhesive strips on the backs of the frames. Years ago in the 70's (LOL) I had metal cabinets and had found decorative panels that were attached by magnets. They were awesome. When I got tired of them, I just took them off. No holes to worry about.Helpful Reply
