Old Swag Light globe repurposed into a Christmas centerpiece

I found this gorgeous clear light globe with a swirl design for $10 at a flea market several years ago. I knew it would eventually be repurposed into something enjoyable.....and this year I turned it into a Christmas centerpiece for my dresser. I mingled some battery lights in with the ribbon just for fun. They don't show up up that well unless the room is dimly lit.
The globe is upside down resting in a metal thrift store base.it is stuffed full of mesh wired edge gold ribbon & the floral piece was made and placed on top. It is not permanently attach so it can be changed for other occasions.
After I filled it with ribbon I stuffed 2 sets of battery lights inside & duct taped the cases together. The floral piece is taped to them, laid on top, & a narrow piece of tape pulled across & taped to each side of the opening.
