Redoing cabinet

I am redoing a cabinet that I bought already painted. I am going for the farmhouse style. I am in the process of scrapping of the top layer of cream paint to reveal some green paint on the shutter doors. I was wondering if I should do this to the whole cabinet it just the shutter doors? Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much!

The edges and top can also be scraped for a naturally worn look. I like it!

Either way, it is going to look great! I would do the entire thing so that it had some uniformity, but that really is just personal preference. You might consider changing out the knobs as well- perhaps some porcelain or glass ones or painted wooden ones that you can also paint green or add an accent color.

Elena, I like the scraped look too, but I would put a clear coat over it afterwards to keep it from flaking more when we don't want it too. I also agree with Sue about changing knobs. I personality would like clear glass on this piece, but that's just me. I can tell it's going to be beautiful. Have fun!

I LOVE this cabinets style and the louvered doors. However, I personally do not care for the " "chippy" look, that just me. What is your style in this room? I happen to like it all one color, I would paint it in chalk paint, and use dark wax over it for an aged, but very high end look. That just happens to be my style/my taste.

I would lightly scrape the edges and corners of the piece as well, not a lot. Just enough to have that "worn with love" look!
